Memories and notes
Cardiacs appeared at The Mermaid on a shared bill with Ring and Omnia Opera.
This is a very good but incomplete soundboard recording made one day after the Marquee Club performance. Only eight songs survive, most likely because the cassette was not flipped during the show.
The sound is slightly thin and reverberant, but remains highly enjoyable. Gina Lollabrigida and Big Ship are particular highlights.
A recording of Ring from the same event also circulates. Ring included Christian “Bic” Hayes, who would later become a member of Cardiacs.
