This concert is documented as the first known live performance of Icky Qualms.
Cardiacs appeared at Northampton Irish Centre on a shared bill with Levitation. The surviving ticket records admission at £5 in advance or £6 on the door, with doors opening at 8:00 pm.
The surviving audience recording is somewhat tinny and thin, but remains a clear document of the performance. Its accompanying information also preserves details of a soundcheck featuring fragments of Angleworm Angel, Ideal, Everything Is Easy and other songs.
